Mistletoe Sprig Stained-glass

A sprig of mistletoe, caught in glass. Soft green leaves, streaked with sea-glass shades of jade and mint, curl around pearly white berries and glow when winter light passes through them.

Each mistletoe is hand-cut and built in the copper foil technique on my narrowboat studio, Willow, then finished with a dark patina and a loop of natural twine, ready to hang. Because every piece of glass is different, no two sprigs are quite the same.

Hang it in a window to catch the low December sun, from a Christmas tree branch, on a wreath, or from a cupboard handle, mantel or doorway. Unlike the real thing, it won't drop its berries, and it can come out year after year as a keepsake.
