There's a particular kind of magic to the hellebore  the way it nods its head through the coldest months, blooming when almost nothing else will. Out on the towpath in deep winter, they're often the only colour against the frost, and I wanted to bring a little of that quiet resilience into felt.

This posy gathers ivory, blush, and deep burgundy blooms, each petal hand-cut and shaped from wool felt for a soft, dimensional finish that catches the light like the real thing. Sprigs of felt foliage, berries and dark evergreen foliage weave through the stems, echoing the hedgerows along the canal in December.

Unlike their fleeting garden cousins, these hellebores won't wilt with the first hard frost they'll sit in bloom on your windowsill from solstice through to spring, a small act of quiet colour in the darkest weeks of the year.
